HPC - The Apartment Guide Sponsors an Education Tour
The Apartment Guide recently kicked off an education tour for its clients in Las Vegas. Utilizing the I.T. Partners website to review potential workshop offerings along with input received from industry clients, HPC decision-makers in the Las Vegas market brought in Carol Levey and Neil Fjellestad to team-teach "Outreach Marketing" in the morning and "CRM - The Art of Renewals" in the afternoon. An enthusiastic group of attendees, extensive handout material combined with the high-energy style and humorous presentation of Carol and Neil made the event an educational success. Technology Skills for Property Management
NOW AVAILABLE. I.T. Partners has been developing workshop material designed to meet the growing demand for technology training within the multihousing industry. We wanted to deliver tailored workshops that teach on-site and other industry employees how-to fully utilize computer, e-mail and Internet skills in their daily assignments. This kind of material has been in high demand by property management employees across the U.S. that we have surveyed while delivering other interactive training. Uniformly, technology skill training is viewed as an important employee benefit and key to advancement opportunities.
During the first quarter of 2001, Neil Fjellestad field-tested several approaches to instructor-led courses using this material. Local associations are finding these courses to be an excellent resource especially as continuing education for CAM, NALP and CAMT designees. Relying upon the enthusiastic response along with valuable feedback from attendees, we refined the content and delivery for several important half-day workshops. These workshops laid the foundation for additional coursework that will be designed in the near future along with some distance learning alternatives. Click here for descriptions of Computing Fundamentals and Property Management on the Net. Generally, E-mail Essentials will be included with one of the other workshops, but can be given separately.
The Apartment Association of Greater Philadelphia
AAGP continues to promote industry professionalism through ongoing education. Greater Philadelphia is a dynamic metro rental market and this growing local association is keeping pace with expanding services and an emphasis on NAA designated coursework for the on-site team.
Pam Bennett, the association's executive director is a driving force in advancing NAA designated education within the Philadelphia area.
Carol Levey and Neil Fjellestad from I.T. Partners visit Philadelphia regularly to conduct CAMT, Fair Housing and Customer Service workshops .
"We enjoy the energy and enthusiasm of the on-site service technicians. In Philly, we can always count on a full class of CAMT students eager to learn and share. Thought-provoking questions on Fair Housing that come from the service technicians lead to great discussions. And the stories ... these people are the unsung customer service heroes of our industry," says Carol.
"Working with Pam and the local staff is always a pleasure. Their promotion of CAMT and attention to course details contribute to a great learning atmosphere," adds Neil.
Train the Trainer for AAGO
In a recent visit to the greater Orlando area, Carol and Neil conducted a Train the Trainer workshop for the Apartment Association of Greater Orlando (AAGO). "Let's Lease" in Baltimore
Carol and Neil visit Baltimore where their teaching experience was employed by the Maryland Multi-Housing Association. They presented an all day workshop entitled "Let's Lease," to a room packed with enthusiastic attendees.
The education event was sponsored by HPC. Claudine Jester, the director of operations for the association, was pleased with the outcome and turnout for the event.
AAGO is AWESOME in Orlando
While visiting the offices of AAGO in Orlando, we were impressed with the vision of this local association's leadership expressed in the following ways:
- They have recently purchased their own building for AAGO in which they've incorporated several large classrooms and an on-site CAMT training facility.
- In addition, the local association maintains an extensive website.
