Carol Levey
Educator; Presenter
Carol has served as a faculty member of the National Apartment Association (NAA), Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), Federal Housing & Urban Development Department (HUD), Minnesota Manufactured Housing Conference, Affordable Housing Management Association (AMHA) and the Multi-Housing World National Business Conference (MHW). Year 2000 is no exception. In the spring she was a requested return contributor on the timely subject of "Repositioning Strategies" for MHW. Click here to download the outline of her presentation. In summer she will return as a regular presenter at the National Education Conference hosted by NAA and IREM.
During 1994 she headed a national taskforce to design the complete rewrite of NAA's Professional Leasing Program. The result was the first professional designation for leasing specialists within the mulithousing industry. The following year she was selected to co-author the new National Apartment Leasing Professional (NALP) text. She sits on the NAA's Education Committee actively working on the on-going challenge of developing and distributing quality education alternatives for the quarter of a million people across the country employed by the multihousing industry. Carol Levey receives high marks from owners, asset managers, property management executives, regional directors and multi-site managers that have attended courses that she has conducted. However, her real magic is her ability to train, motivate, relate to and learn from community managers, leasing and service teams.
Carol said in a recent newspaper interview, "My true passion is education. My favorite groups are the on-site personnel. That's where the action is and that's where my heart is." When Carol joins your group for a day you get the best ideas from diverse markets all over the country. Her humor along with her respect for customers and the people that help them comes through loud and clear.
